SUMMARY:The Clothesline Project
DESCRIPTION:Pathfinders will be hosting the Clothesline Project\, a powerful community event aimed at raising awareness and giving a voice to victims of gender-based violence. The event will take place during Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month in May\, offering a safe and therapeutic space for participants and community supporters to come together\, share stories\, and stand in solidarity against violence. \n\n\n\nEvent Details: \n\n\n\nKempsey: 5 May 2026 | 10:00am – 2:00pm | Macleay Pensioners League Hall (42 Clyde Street\, Kempsey) \n\n\n\nArmidale: 6 May 2026 | 10:00am – 2:00pm | Pathfinders (Ground Floor\, 1A/215 Beardy Street\, Armidale) \n\n\n\nGlen Innes: 7 May 2026 | 10:00am – 2:00pm | Town Hall (265 Grey Street\, Glen Innes) \n\n\n\nInverell: 8 May 2026 | 10:00am – 2:00pm | IC Youth Centre (18 Vivian Street\, Inverell) \n\n\n\nThe Clothesline Project is an interactive event where survivors of violence\, along with their supporters\, are invited to express their emotions by designing t-shirts. Each t-shirt becomes a canvas for personal stories\, messages of hope\, and expressions of solidarity. These t-shirts are then displayed on a public clothesline\, symbolising the voices that can no longer remain silent. \n\n\n\nPathfinders Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) and Family Connect and Support (FCS) teams will facilitate the events\, creating a supportive and healing environment for participants. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences\, support one another\, and contribute to raising awareness about the impact of gender-based violence. \n\n\n\nThe Clothesline Project is an opportunity for people to share their stories and show support for those affected by violence in our community. We welcome survivors\, their loved ones\, and community members to join us in standing together against violence.
