SUMMARY:Pathfinders Pumpkin Run 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Pumpkin Run is a long-standing initiative where young people supported by Pathfinders grow\, harvest\, and deliver pumpkins to communities across New South Wales. \n\n\n\nThe Pumpkin Run provides young people with a hands-on opportunity to build skills\, work as a team\, and give back to the community in a meaningful way. Each year\, participants travel from regional NSW to metropolitan areas\, delivering pumpkins and supporting community organisations that assist people experiencing hardship. \n\n\n\nIn 2026\, the Pumpkin Run will run from 1–5 June\, beginning in Armidale and travelling through Newcastle and Sydney\, with activities including meal service support\, community visits\, and pumpkin deliveries to organisations such as Soul Hub\, OzHarvest\, Newtown Mission\, Addison Road Community Centre\, and The Wayside Chapel. The journey will conclude with a special event at Government House Sydney on 4 June. \n\n\n\nAlongside the main trip\, Pathfinders teams across the Mid North Coast and New England will also host local Pumpkin Run activities in Armidale\, Inverell\, Taree\, Coffs Harbour\, and Port Macquarie\, bringing communities together to participate and support the initiative. \n\n\n\nThe Pumpkin Run is about more than delivering pumpkins\, it is about connection\, learning\, teamwork\, and creating opportunities for young people to contribute positively to their communities.
