We are currently looking for a PPT Caseworker to be based in either of our Port Macquarie or Taree Offices. 

The successful applicants will undertake casework duties within our OoHC Program which consists of Out of Home Care and Foster Care. The Caseworker will be responsible for achieving the best possible outcomes for Children and Young People placed in the OoHC Program of Pathfinders, referred by and in partnership with the Department of Communities and Justice; developing, monitoring and reviewing case plans, auditing case notes and files and advising on the appropriate placement of children and young people referred to Pathfinders.

It is also a requirement to have the knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect Aboriginal communities, societies and cultures in NSW.

The successful applicant will advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families in providing cultural support. They will also provide services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children, young people and families, this will include building strong relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections.

This position is Level 6.1 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (“the SCHDSI Award”) Salary is negotiable dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.
