Position Available IFYSS (Male)- Inverell

Within this position we are looking for male applicants to work with parents and/or carer’s with dependent children, and young people in the Inverell District providing a range of services including Support, advocacy and referral that enable families and young people to make positive changes to their lives.

As an Adolescent Support Worker you will be required to provide practical and emotional support to young people aged between 12 and 25 years with the aim of empowering them to achieve greater independence, self esteem, coping skills and positive outcomes in their lives. Assistance can include counselling, advocacy, referral, court support, home and school visits and providing information on issues like drug and alcohol, sexual health, bullying, anger management and family relationships.

This position is Level 4.1 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Modern Award (“the SCHDSI Award”)
