Pathfinders Appoints New Board Members

Three new highly experienced board members were appointed at Pathfinders’ well attended Annual General Meeting held in Armidale last week.

Pathfinders’ Chairperson, Fiona Miron, officially welcomed Armidale local Alyssa Lincoln as well as Sydney-based Anastasia Glushko and Alex Shaw onto the Pathfinders’ Board of Directors for the next two years.

  • Originally from Inverell, Alyssa Lincoln has served as the Management Accountant at the University of New England, Armidale, for the past six years and has extensive experience in financial administration and accounting.
  • Anastasia Glushko is the Director of External Engagement at the Commonwealth Treasury and the Founder and CEO of the Why Not You Project – a not-for-profit that works with governments, NGOs and universities to improve higher education access for young people in foster care; she possesses years of comprehensive communications, community relations and business experience.
  • Alex Shaw brings decades of strong leadership, strategic planning and operation, and community service skills after his dedicated engagement as the Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution CEO and the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Sydney.

Alan Brennan, Pathfinders’ CEO, says the appointments will strengthen the Board and Pathfinders as a whole as the organisation prepares for a new year of strategic growth and expansion.

“Pathfinders increased its employment base by 50% this past financial year and established a new, effective corporate structure to facilitate internal communications as well as company and regional development,” he said.

“Our accomplished new board members will add to the depth of our organisational framework in skillset, experience and leadership capacities and allow for Pathfinders to continue effectively assisting those in need within our communities.”

The new appointees will work with current Board members:

  • Fiona Miron (Chair)
  • Tim Catterrall (reappointed)
  • Rosemary Curtis
  • Berne Gibbons
  • Andrew Gahan

Pathfinders is a leading not-for-profit supporting disadvantaged children and families in the New England, North West and Mid North Coast regions. Every week we provide hundreds of families with the help they need to get back on their feet.
