On Friday 30, September Karina Wight and Amber Stackman from our Specialised Homelessness Services (SHS) participated in the “Vinnies Community Sleepout” held at Armidale UNE Sports Centre. With nothing more than a piece of cardboard, and a light dinner they braved the cold August night to experience some of the harsh realities faced by those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.

Pathfinders Homelessness Support Services provides a variety of services within the New England area including Crisis Accommodation, Women and Youth Refuges, and Specialised Support Services to help overcome barriers.

Homelessness is often perceived to be a metropolitan problem. When in fact, a significant proportion of people experiencing homelessness are in regional, rural, and remote Australia where access to critical services is limited.
