About me
My name is Chikaodi, but I prefer to be called Chika. I am a dedicated and compassionate community service professional, boasting a diverse educational background and over a decade of experience in education and community services. My commitment lies in fostering holistic development, inclusivity, and empowerment across various settings.
With advanced qualifications including a Certificate IV in Mental Health, an MSc, and a BSc in Educational Management and Planning, I am well-equipped to make a meaningful impact. My goal is to drive positive change in the lives of individuals and communities, particularly focusing on areas
such as children and youth development, aged and disability services, and community development.
My passion lies in working with people with disabilities, where I find joy in supporting them to live fulfilling lives of their choice through inclusiveness. Growing up, I witnessed first hand the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, who were often marginalised by society. This fuelled my determination to advocate against discrimination and provide support to those in need.
I have actively engaged in facilitating spiritual, social, and emotional support programs for people with disabilities and their families. I firmly believe that every life is valuable and has the potential to contribute positively to society given the necessary support and opportunities.
