About me
My name is James. I began my journey as a Disability Support Worker when I was 18, initially focusing on personal care and high-need participants. Over time, I transitioned to working in a Drug and Alcoholic house, where I cared for three older males aged 50-65. These individuals exhibited high behavioural challenges, including aggression, absconding, and neglect of personal care.
Caring for others has been a significant part of my life from a young age, influenced by my mother, who was a nurse during my youth and has been a Disability Support Worker for the past decade.
Working in this environment for over a year provided me with invaluable experience and prepared me to explore a new path in Disability Support Work. I am thoroughly enjoying this new chapter and am excited to continue developing my career in this field.
Caring for others has been a significant part of my life from a young age, influenced by my mother, who was a nurse during my youth and has been a Disability Support Worker for the past decade. Following in her footsteps, my father, brother, and eventually I have also pursued careers caring for others.
I have developed a strong passion for this line of work and look forward to continuing my journey as a Disability Support Worker.
