This Youth Homelessness Matters Day, the Yfoundation is urging the federal government to take action. We are calling for the development of a standalone National Child and Youth Homelessness and Housing Plan.
For far too long, the specific and complex needs of children and young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness have been overlooked. These needs are not the same as those of adults, and they require a targeted and focused approach.
While the Labor Government is committed to developing a National Housing and Homelessness Plan, we believe it is crucial to have a strategy specifically tailored to children and young people.
