Creating pathways to long-term stability

Pathways Forward is a support program designed to walk alongside people as they strengthen independence, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward long-term stability.

The program supports people who have experienced long-term unemployment, are transitioning from the justice system, or are entering the workforce for the first time and need additional support. Pathways Forward offers structured, compassionate assistance for people who are ready to take the next step — at their pace and on their terms.

Through a unique partnership with Quality Construction and Maintenance, participants are offered real world opportunities to develop skills, build routine and gain experience in a safe, supported environment. For those who want it, this may lead to longer-term employment opportunities. Pathways Forward is not just about getting a job. The program focuses on the whole person and may support participants to:

Strengthen daily life skills and personal stability
Build wellbeing, confidence and positive connections
Navigate challenges such as housing, health and community access
Have consistent, trusted support during times of change

This is not a quick fix or short-term training course. Pathways Forward is a genuine pathway forward, grounded in wraparound support, cultural safety and a belief in second chances.

Referral to Pathways Forward

Who can refer:

Self-referrals, community organisations, employment services, justice services and support agencies are welcome.

Who the program supports:

People experiencing long-term unemployment
People exiting or transitioning from the justice system
People entering the workforce who need extra support

How to refer:

Please complete the Pathways Forward Online Referral Form. Once received, a Pathfinders team member will make contact to discuss eligibility and next steps.
