What skills can you share with young people during mentoring and how would this benefit young people?
I can teach young people practical life skills, cooking, baking, budgeting, and goal setting.. These skills help them become more independent and prepared for the future. I also like to focus on emotional and physical development to help them set goals that improve their overall well-being. .
Why did you become a mentor?
I think everyone needs people around them they can relate to and have as a support system.
What do you think young people get out of mentoring?
I think mentoring gives young people a solid support system. They get someone to talk too and it helps them feel part of a community. Mentors can also guide them through tough decisions and help build their confidence.
