We are currently looking for a Full Time Casework Support Worker to be based in Armidale.
The successful applicant will be required to provide quality administration support to the OOHC Program, including Caseworkers and Managers and coordinate daily priorities which directly support the Caseworkers, Managers and OoHC Office.
The successful application will also require some discretionary decision making in relation to observing and reporting behaviors of children, young people and families in contact visits and other activities where risk and safety are an issue.
The Casework Support Worker will require knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect Aboriginal communities, societies and cultures in NSW and be willing to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families in providing cultural support and provide services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children, young people and families. This will also require building strong relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections.
This position is Level 4.4 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (“the SCHDSI Award”)
