Bunbun Playgroup

Bunbun Supported Playgroup Ashford

Bunbun Playgroup is a weekly playgroup program open to families of all backgrounds residing in the Ashford Area. The playgroup offers a safe place for children and their parents/carers to play, learn, socialise with other families and participate in a variety of activities.

Each week, families are provided with a choice of activities like music, singing, arts and crafts, imaginary play and outdoor activities.
Special guests are regularly invited to attend to provide education to families, covering a range of topics such as transitioning to school, parenting, early intervention, child safety and healthy living.

Bunbun Playgroup is funded by Families NSW and is run by staff from Pathfinders’ Inverell Family Youth Support Service.

Ashford Playgroup

When and where is the playgroup held?

Bunbun Playgroup is held every Friday at Ashford Preschool.

location: 53 Martyn Street, Ashford NSW 2361

The playgroup runs from 10am to 12pm.

A healthy morning tea is provided to all children in attendance, free of charge.

Why attend Bunbun Playgroup?

The playgroup offers opportunities for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to practice new skills, make friends, gain self-confidence and develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. Parents and carers are also able to create connections within the community and spend time with their children in an external setting.

Who can come to the playgroup?

Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are all welcome. Each child must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, grandparent, adult family member or carer. Support workers from Inverell Family Youth Support Service will be onsite to assist with activities during playgroup.

What should I bring to the playgroup?

Please bring a hat and ensure your child is wearing sun-safe play clothes as they will most likely get a little messy during outdoor activities. You will also need to bring your own nappies, bottles, special dietary foods and any medicines your child requires, as these items are not supplied by the playgroup.

What if my child is sick?

Please consider others. For the safety of everyone attending playgroup, please stay home if you, your child, or someone you live with is showing any signs of illness, including temperatures, diarrhoea, vomiting, coughing, running nose and/or a sore throat.
