Fixed Term 6 month Contract
Family Connect and Support provides intervention, diversion and capacity building services with focus areas of housing, employment and health.
Within program guidelines, teams deliver both funded and fee-paying offerings to ensure access to the appropriate levels of service and support. Support is underpinned by a practice framework using strengths-based trauma informed practices to support people in building their own capacity and resources for positive change.
Our teams celebrate and acknowledge diversity working across sectors and collaborating with community including schools, employers, housing, health and social service providers to facilitate strengthened personal, social and cultural connection, and improved health and wellbeing.
We are currently looking for a Full Time Program Worker on a 6 Month Fixed Term contract to be based in Kempsey.
The successful applicant will be required to ensure provision of high-quality services to achieve optimum levels of service delivery and client outcomes in line with the Practice Framework requirements while ensuring business performance outcomes, standards and compliance requirements are met.
The Program Worker – Family Connect and Support will require knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect Aboriginal communities, societies and cultures in NSW and be willing to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families in providing cultural support and provide services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children, young people and families.
The Program Worker – Family Connect and Support will also be required to build strong relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections
This position is Level 5.1 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Modern Award (“the SCHDSI Award”)
