We are currently looking for a full-time Case Worker to be based in our Tamworth Office commencing in January 2025.
The successful applicant will undertake casework duties within our Out-of-Home care program which consists of Out of Home Care and Foster Care. The Case Workers will be responsible for achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people placed in the Out-of-Home Care program of Pathfinders, referred by and in partnership with the Department of Communities and Justice; developing, monitoring and reviewing case plans, auditing case notes and files and advising on the appropriate placement of children and young people referred to Pathfinders.
It is also a requirement to have the knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect Aboriginal communities, societies and cultures in NSW. Pathfinders encourage applications from people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
The successful applicants need to be willing to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families in providing cultural support. The successful applicants will also provide services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children, young people and families. The successful applicants will be required to build strong relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections
This position is Level 5.3 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (“the SCHDSI Award”) Salary is negotiable dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.
