Day 4 of the 2026 Pumpkin Run marked a very special stop for the team, as their efforts to date were recognised at Government House in Sydney.

Hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, staff, volunteers, and young people were invited to a morning tea in celebration of their hard work throughout the week.

The Governor commended everyone for their perseverance and commitment to giving back to the community, and thanked them for their continued efforts.

We extend our sincere thanks to Her Excellency and the team at Government House for their warm welcome and hospitality.

Following their morning at Government House, the team visited Wayside Chapel in the afternoon, delivering a generous supply of pumpkins to support the preparation of warm meals for people doing it tough this winter. Wayside Chapel provides essential support services, meals and community programs for people experiencing homelessness and social disadvantage in Sydney. The donation will help contribute to meals served through their daily kitchen programs, offering both nourishment and a sense of community to those who need it most.
