Support Your Path at North Coast Expos

The Support Your Path (SYP) team recently participated in two key community events across New South Wales, strengthening local connections and increasing awareness of available disability supports and services.

On 13 May, SYP attended the Living Well Expo in Coffs Harbour, hosted by Blue Sky Community Services at the Coffs Harbour Showground. The event brought together disability and aged care service providers from across the Mid North Coast, with a strong focus on community connection, information sharing and wellbeing.

The Living Well Expo featured a diverse program of interactive activities and demonstrations, including pickleball and chair yoga, alongside keynote presentations from allied health professionals. The event attracted a strong community turnout and provided an important platform for service providers to share information, collaborate and strengthen referral pathways.

With more than 70 stallholders and over 1,000 attendees in previous years, the Living Well Expo continues to be a significant regional event, supporting community members to better understand and access local services.

Shortly after, on 14 May, SYP attended the Port Macquarie Community Disability Expo, held at the Westport Club and hosted by DEC (Disability Events Community).

The expo brought together people living with disability, families, carers, support workers and local service providers in a welcoming and accessible environment designed to encourage connection and information sharing.

The event attracted more than 500 community members and featured approximately 20–25 service providers, creating valuable opportunities for meaningful engagement throughout the day. SYP staff were consistently engaged in one-on-one conversations with attendees, supporting community members from across the region including Kempsey, Forster, Tuncurry, Bulahdelah and surrounding areas.

Attendees were able to connect with a wide range of disability supports and services, including allied health providers, housing supports, therapy services and community organisations.

Both events provided positive opportunities for SYP to strengthen its visibility across the Mid North Coast and continue building relationships with individuals, families and communities seeking support.
