We are currently looking for a full time OoHC Area Manager to manage our Armidale area on a fixed term of 6 months.  The successful applicant will oversee the operations and lead a team of skilled staff to deliver an effective regional model for Out of Home Care (OOHC) services in residential, foster care and other settings to Children and Young People in care ensuring a safe, nurturing and home-like environment for Children and Young People. 

The successful application will be required to identify new funding opportunities and assist in preparing funding submissions which meet funding body contractual requirements and comply with legislation and regulatory agencies, plan and promotion growth opportunities for OoHC Programs as well as maintain accreditation, establish and deliver residential and foster care services in the Region.

It is also a requirement to have the knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect Aboriginal communities, societies and cultures in NSW and be willing to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families in providing cultural support and provide services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children, young people and families.  It will also be a requirement to build strong relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections

This position is Level 8 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (“the SCHDSI Award”)
