Youth Week Activities

Last week was Youth Week and Pathfinders was engaged in a few different community celebrations to commemorate the week.

On Thursday the sun came out in Inverell in time for Pathfinders Inverell Family and Youth Support Services (IFYSS)  ‘colour run’. Children and young adults wore white shirts and ran around the oval at Cameron Park. They were covered in a range of 5 different colours. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time, at the end of the day, everyone’s left with multicoloured shirts, and smiles on their faces.  There was also a morning tea of fruit and water provided, thanks to generous donations from woolworths Inverell. We especially thank the Clontarf foundation for their attendance, and engagement! Thanks for a wonderful day.

Guyra and Armidale also had some pretty exciting Youth Week events. The Armidale Regional Council organised a live music event, that was held in Armidale on 17th of April, and the following Friday 23rd in Guyra. Pathfinders Youth Refuge provided a dessert bar for both the events that were very popular amongst the young attendees, there were definitely no left overs! There were amazing performances from local acts, including Charlie Fittler engaging the crowd with his guitar skills, and Nate Weatherall’s rap group showing their deadly skills. Thanks to Armidale Regional Council for organising a great event, Pathfinders got the pleasure of being apart of!

Unfortunately the Moree Youth Week events were postponed, but we look forward to them coming up on the 7th May.
