The State Government extra funding for Women’s shelters across the New England has provided 24/7 access to support for Pathfinders Women & Children’s Refuge in Inverell. The funding in the past years was used for housing and financial assistance to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
The Inverell Women & Children’s Refuge will now be able to support intakes after hours and provide additional support and housing options to women and children leaving dangerous situations in the home.
