Pathfinders Annual General Meeting

Pathfinders held its Annual General Meeting in Armidale at the end of November, bringing together staff, Board members and supporters to reflect on the past year and the organisation’s achievements. The meeting was opened by the Chair, Korrina Schultz, who welcomed attendees both in person and online.

The program included an Acknowledgement of Country and a special musical performance, adding a meaningful cultural element to the event. The meeting also offered moments of reflection, including recognition of past contributions to the organisation and stories from staff and community members about the challenges and successes experienced throughout the year.

A financial overview presented to the meeting confirmed that Pathfinders remains in a stable and growing position, with increased revenue and continued reinvestment into staff, services and infrastructure to strengthen organisational capacity.

Several speakers shared personal experiences about the impact of Pathfinders programs, highlighting the importance of practical support, trusted relationships and sustained guidance for young people and families. These stories served as a powerful reminder of the real-world outcomes achieved through our work.

CEO Alan Brennan provided an update on major developments across the organisation, including the expansion of the Pathfinders National Aboriginal Birth Certificate Program, new initiatives commencing in Central Australia, and the planned Boot Camp program in the Northern Territory. He also noted the unconditional five-year renewal of Pathfinders’ Foster Care and Residential Care accreditation from 2025 to 2030. Additional updates included progress on the Core and Cluster women’s refuge project and the ongoing therapeutic and skill-building work taking place at Tilbuster Station. He acknowledged the dedication of staff across all programs and reinforced the importance of the Sanctuary Model in supporting wellbeing and resilience.

The AGM provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year, acknowledge the collective effort behind them, and look ahead to continued growth and service to our communities. Pathfinders extends its appreciation to all who attended and to everyone who continues to support our programs and communities.
