Pathfinders named Finalists in Youth Action’s NSW Youth Work Awards

Pathfinders, is pleased to announce that we have been selected as finalists in the prestigious NSW Youth Work Awards, presented by Youth Action. This award recognises our commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people, especially in regional areas.

Tilbuster Station has been named as a finalist in the category of “Outstanding Work with Regional Young People.” This recognition highlights the positive impact Tilbuster Station has had on young lives in Armidale and surrounding locations. The work at Tilbuster Station supports young individuals facing challenges in their homes, schools, and the legal system and it is encouraging to see the work of our team acknowledged and celebrated.

We are thrilled to also share that Anthony Simmons, our dedicated Resource Coordinator and Farm Manager at Tilbuster Station, has been named a finalist for the “NSW Youth Worker of the Year” award. His dedication and mentoring style have touched the lives of more than 200 young people each year. His patient demeanour and compassionate heart have brought guidance and stability to countless children and young people navigating adolescence.

We are honoured to be a part of the NSW Youth Work Awards, an event hosted annually by Youth Action to celebrate and recognise the outstanding work of youth services and youth workers across New South Wales. This year’s awards ceremony promises to be an exceptional event and will be integrated into the “Listen, Learn, & Celebrate NSW Youth Work Conference” at the Australian Theatre for Young People’s venue on Sydney Harbour. The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 26.
