Pathfinders Supports Flood Recovery Efforts

Over the long weekend, staff from Tilbuster Station travelled to the coast to support flood-affected communities and our staff impacted by recent severe weather. They brought a ute full of pumpkins from this year’s Pumpkin Run, along with generous donations of appliances, beds, furniture, and clothing kindly provided by Pathfinders staff.

Deliveries were made to Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie (to support North Shore residents), Kempsey, and Taree.

On Saturday, the team joined forces with the disaster relief team from the not-for-profit organisation The Samaritans. Volunteers were split into teams and, in just one day, helped clean and strip three severely damaged homes, removing kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring to prepare for urgent renovations.

In addition to this incredible community outreach, staff in Kempsey, Wingham, and Taree have been volunteering over the past few weeks to support their colleagues affected by the floods. Working in extremely muddy and challenging conditions, they’ve been helping each other clean up and get homes back to normal as quickly as possible.

Thank you to all the Pathfinders staff who have generously given their time and donated to support these communities in need.
