Pumpkin Run’s Final Stop – Government House, Sydney

The 2025 Pumpkin Run came to a proud and fitting close today with a special morning tea at Government House in Sydney, hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales.

After travelling across the state delivering more than 10 tonnes of pumpkins and supporting countless community kitchens, food relief organisations and local charities, our young people were warmly welcomed and recognised for their efforts to help those doing it tough.

In a gesture that reflected the spirit of the entire journey, the chefs at Government House created a morning tea menu using pumpkins grown at Pathfinders’ Tilbuster Station. Guests were treated to a range of pumpkin-inspired treats including pumpkin purée tarts with feta, sweet pumpkin pies and pumpkin spice tarts.

The Governor praised the young people for their commitment to giving back and commended their efforts in growing and delivering food to support individuals and families across New South Wales.

Thank you to Her Excellency and the staff at Government House for this honour and for celebrating the journey and impact of the 2025 Pumpkin Run.
