Introducing Specialist Disability Accommodation in Armidale

We are excited to share some news with our community. We are delighted to announce the availability of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) in Armidale, in partnership with ADAPT Housing.

This initiative is dedicated to providing top-tier accommodation for individuals with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs right in the heart of the picturesque New England Tablelands.

Our accommodation projects, currently under construction, are thoughtfully designed to offer High Physical Support for SDA tenants. These homes are more than just living spaces they are havens of comfort and independence. With private en-suites, personal patios, and shared common areas featuring two living spaces and an expansive back patio, residents will experience the perfect blend of privacy and community.

The SDA dwellings in Armidale boast a high level of physical accessibility, with provisions for various High Physical Support requirements, including ceiling hoists, automated doors and windows, emergency backup power, and 24/7 onsite support. New residents will relish the serene location of Armidale while staying conveniently close to essential amenities like the Armidale Private Hospital, grocery stores, shopping centers, and more – all within a quick 7-minute drive.

Pathfinders will complement the SDA housing with round-the-clock Supported Independent Living (SIL) support. Our dedicated team will provide assistance in cooking, cleaning, personal care, shopping, and active participation in household and community activities.
